Update 19th November

Posted by RichardMartin on November 19, 2015

The October 50/50 draw went well on board ship and none of the hot bites went to waste (not waist!)! It’s amazing how time flies with Sat 28th November draw coming round quickly. The draw will be held in the Victoria Inn, Salcombe at 1930 hrs in the upstairs lounge/dining room. The Island Cruising Club (ICC) AGM is being held at 1700 hrs with some members taking a meal at the pub afterwards. If you are in the area and would like to join the evening get-together with the club then please let me know by next Monday. (07967597527)

Plans for the ships restoration are moving on and I think she will be going to dry dock in Penzance during March and April next year- more news to follow when we are more sure of the details.

In the meantime, the Trust needs more money to cover running costs – so, if you haven’t done so already, please consider joining the Trust’s monthly draw as a way of helping. All the details are on the website.

It is a fact that we need more money to pay for the usual bills of moorings, insurance, light etc and the only way to do this is to fundraise. Please help in any way you can and let me know if I/we can help support your idea.

I think we are making serious progress with funding for Egremont to go for drydocking but this is only part of the solution. The Trust needs at least £15,000 to cover next years costs – please do your best to actively raise money.

 Thank you.
